Give Yixian's Mountain Pass and Imperial Tombs Separate Days
Yixian can look deceptively simple on a regional map. Two major heritage ideas sit within the same broad area: Zijingguan Pass, where a Great Wall gate and mountain valley explain each other, and the Western Qing Tombs, where imperial architecture, ceremonial axes, and pine-covered grounds ask for a slower kind of attention. They are both meaningful, but they are not interchangeable stops. One is about reading a strategic passage through the Taihang foothills. The other is about moving through a large planned burial landscape. Put them on the same tight day and the time between them becomes the story.
